Who you are contracting

BrownHub is the design business of Howell Daniel, working from ChrisPrintgh, Accra New Town, Accra, Ghana. Work you commission is produced by BrownHub unless we tell you, before you confirm, that part of it is carried out by a partner such as a printer.

Quotes and starting work

Consultation before a quote is free. Send the idea as it stands in your head and you get a written quote that lists what is included, the price in Ghana cedis and the expected turnaround. Design jobs are normally quoted the same day.

A quote holds the price for the brief and the deadline it describes. If the sizes, quantity, number of items or the deadline change, the quote is revised before any further work starts — nothing is added to your bill without you agreeing to it first.

Work begins when you confirm the quote, by reply on WhatsApp, by email or by placing the order from the catalog. A message like “go ahead” is enough; no signed contract is required for the catalog and studio jobs.

Pricing and payment

Prices shown in the catalog are starting prices for the common size and quantity of that item. The final figure follows the quote, because material, size, quantity and speed all move it.

Payments are taken in Ghana cedis by card or mobile money through Paystack's own checkout, or by the bank and mobile money details given in your quote. BrownHub receives the amount and a payment reference; your card number, PIN and bank passwords never pass through this website.

Larger projects are staged: the quote says what is payable to begin and what is payable on delivery. Until an agreed balance is settled, the final files are supplied for review rather than for print.

Timelines and delivery

Typical turnarounds: flyers and posters 1–3 days, logos and branding about a week, books and company profiles according to page count. Rush work is possible — say so when you request the quote, because it changes the price.

The clock runs from the day the brief is confirmed and the material needed to design it arrives, counted in our working days. Time spent waiting on a reply, an approval or a photo is time the clock is not running.

Delivery is by email, WhatsApp or a download link, in print-ready files at the correct colour mode and resolution, together with the editable source files so a reprint later is never a restart.

Revisions and changes of mind

Feedback is part of the job, not an extra. You review a concept, tell us what is wrong with it, and we refine until the design is right — within the scope the quote describes.

A revision is a change to something already in that scope. A new deliverable, a new size, a new language version or a fresh direction after approval is a change of scope, and it is quoted before it is produced.

Once you approve a design for print or for publication, changes to that approved artwork are treated as a new item on the same basis.

Who owns the design

When the fee for a job is paid in full, ownership of the finished design passes to you. You may print it, publish it, hand it to another supplier and register it as your own.

We keep the working files, drafts and rejected concepts, and we may show the delivered work in our portfolio and on our social channels. If the work has to stay private, tell us before delivery and we will not publish it.

Third-party material inside a design — a font licence, a stock photograph, a logo you supply — is licensed to you under that supplier's own terms, not ours. We do not claim rights over your brand, and you keep yours.

What you send us

Please send only material you have the right to use: your own logo, your own photographs, text you or your client owns, and brand assets you are permitted to work with.

If a third party objects to something supplied by you, that is between you and them; we will cooperate in resolving it and the work already produced remains payable.

Cancellations and refunds

If you call a job off before any work starts, nothing is payable. Once work has started, the stage we have reached is payable, and anything already delivered to you stays yours.

Where a paid job has a genuine problem we could not have foreseen, we fix it. If we cannot, the arrangement described in your quote governs what is refunded — which is why the quote is written down before work begins.

Catalog orders that have gone into production cannot be returned: the item is printed to your sizes and wording.

Printing and other suppliers

For jobs that include printing, the printed result depends on the machine, the material and the ink as much as the artwork. We supply the correct files, and on materials we know we check a proof; colour on paper is always a little away from colour on a screen.

Deliveries, installations and any external service ordered alongside the design are carried out by the supplier handling them, under their own conditions.

Responsibility

We are responsible for the design and files we deliver, and we stand behind them: if a delivered file is wrong for the use the brief described, we correct it.

We are not responsible for what follows from business decisions made on the strength of a design, for a third party's service failing, or for indirect losses. Nothing here limits a liability that Ghanaian law does not allow to be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. If something goes wrong, write to us first: almost every disagreement about a design is a misunderstanding about wording, and it is normally settled in a conversation.

Where it cannot, the matter goes to the competent courts of Accra.

Changes and questions

These terms may be updated as the studio changes. The date at the top of this page is the version in force when you read it; the terms that apply to a job are the ones in force on the day its quote was accepted.
